Iconic Wedding

What a special opportunity we had when we photographed Theresa and Matthew’s Byzantine Catholic wedding ceremony. WBT_3577 So beautiful and symbolic!!    Some of the symbolism included icons for the bride and groom and had them wearing crowns during part of the ceremony.  I must say that this is one of the most beautiful and interesting ceremonies that we have photographed!NOD_1841

Of course what’s a wedding with out a reception, and Theresa and Matt had a fun one filled with family and friends, great food and some awesome dance moves.

What a Beauty!!

NOD_0825We just photographed a wedding where the bride and groom chose some amazing locations.  When Dianne and I held our pre-wedding  meeting at the Our Lady of the Snow Chapel we could not believe how beautiful it was.

.

.

WBT_3033The church was remodeled a few years ago and has so much character.  In addition to the beauty of the wood and incredible stained glass windows, it was decorated for Christmas.  The combination was breathtaking!

Add to this a handsome groom and a beautiful bride!

.

NOD_1221Our second location was Laramier square and we arrived there at just the perfect time for the lights.  As they were starting to glow the sky was that perfect shade a blue.

WBT_3150Then on to the wedding reception at Maggiano’s in the Denver Tech Center.  The lights and Christmas colors in the banquet room were a perfect compliment to the festivities.   To top off the evening, Dan and Ioana had the coolest photo booth I’ve seen! Check out “ ear2ear photo booths ”!

Fall Snow

We had the pleasure of shooting Theresa and Matthew’s engagement session at Deer Creek Park (what a great location!).

When we were planning the engagement session with Theresa a week before, it was all about capturing the fall colors.  However, this is Colorado, so during the week we went from fall colors to fall colors and SNOW!  It was just perfect – we were so lucky to get a little of both for their engagement session.

So of course we had a blast and hope they did too!  We think they might have – after all they got to dance and have a snowball fight!

Theresa and Matthew are truly a fun, wonderfully-in-love couple.  We can’t wait to photograph their wedding in February!!!!!  (hmmmm…the snowiest month…..maybe we’ll have a re-match on that snowball fight!)

Location, Location, Location.

There is a saying in real estate, “it’s all about  location, location, location”.  Well I think the same can be said about a wedding.

We had the pleasure of photographing Heather and David’s wedding.  We started in the afternoon at St. Thomas More church in Greenwood Village.  What a beautiful church!  Great location for a wedding!

After the ceremony we went to Daniels Park with the Bridal Party.  It had been raining off and on all afternoon and was windy and chilly.  However the sky cleared, the sun peeked out and everyone braved the chill so that we could get some wonderful images.  What a stunning backdrop!

The reception was held at the Villa Parker, another great place lots of character.  We were able to capture a fun and memorable night. Food was excellent – provided by  Greens Point Catering.

Three unbelievable locations one great wedding.  Heather and David thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your big day!

If you would like to see some more images from Heather and David’s wedding check out our Facebook page.  Please leave us a comment below let us know what you think we would love to hear from you.

WOW

We have photographed weddings all over the state of Colorado but to be able to photograph a wedding in Rocky Mountain National Park .  Wow!

We got to know Britney and Dan over the pre-wedding meetings we had with them.  When we first met with them in June they told us of their plans to have their wedding at Rocky Mountain National Park with their at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.  That was all we needed to hear – we were in!  Wow!

Our second meeting was a few weeks before the wedding.  We met at the Stanley Hotel and then drove to the ceremony location in RMNP.  We knew then that we were working with a great couple and two unbelievable locations.  To top it off Britney’s hair and makeup was done by one of our favorite people – Aleigha Hans, of Captivate by Aleigha.  Wow!

When the big day came, it lived up to our expectations – and then some!  The  weather was perfect, there was a hint of gold in the aspens and we had a beautiful bride and a handsome groom surrounded by their friends and family! Wow!

Another connection in this beautiful event was the Minister!  This was the third time this year we’ve had the pleasure of working with Reverend Chris Mohr!  He has a knack of making things move very smoothly and his services are wonderful.  Wow!

When the celebration shifted to the Stanley Hotel, D.J.  Larry Nosbish of Top Hat Entertainment, kept it rocking all night.  Great job Larry – fun working with you!

Thank you Britney and Dan for choosing us to capture your wedding day images and letting us be part of your very “WOW” day!

BTW we were able to keep our wildlife streak going at this wedding, we saw elk (lots of them) and Big Horn Sheep!  If you would like to see more images of Britney and Dan’s big day check out our Facebook page.  Don’t forget to leave us a comment on our Blog!  Thanks!
